Born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico in 1973, I always thought I didn’t belong in the creative environment.
At a young age I studied Aeronautical Engineering at the prestigious Instituto Politecnico Nacional (IPN) but family issues changed my trajectory and we moved to Los Angeles, California, where I currently reside.
Having an inexplicable passion for aviation, I first studied at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, CA, where I graduated with a degree in Commercial Aviation, and later at California Sate University, Los Angeles, where I received a degree in Aviation Administration as well as a degree in Television and Film.
All throughout my studies I worked freelance in the TV and Film industry —a job I accidentally fell into while I was working at a General Aviation airport in Van Nuys, CA— and this is what made me realize (almost violently it feels) that saying to myself “I am just not a creative person” was simply not true.
It took a long time (and a world-wide pandemic) for art take a bigger priority in my life, and it’s the reason why I share this website with you.
